SUMMARY:Take Back the Night: Poetry Reading
DESCRIPTION:Take Back the Night is a march\, rally\, and vigil that unites the community to support survivors and envision an end to sexual assault\, domestic violence\, rape\, and child sexual abuse. This community event is open to anyone in the public. It creates a safe space for victims\, survivors\, and allies to speak out. The event includes opportunities for people to view the Clothesline project\, participate in survivor and ally speak outs\, hear music performance\, and listen to guest speakers. Take Back the Night began to reclaim the night for women from the fear of walking alone at night. It is an annual event that occurs every April in Ithaca\, NY.
